IKEA offers take-out for restaurant dishes

IKEA buyers will soon be able to return home with new furniture and a hot meal.

The furniture giant recently announced, starting November 9, that it will allow customers to order take-out meals from restaurants, which they can pick up right out of the store.

Some of the menu items available for take out include favorites such as: Swedish meatballs, vegetable balls, butter chicken, fish and chips, and MSC certified salmon fillets.

Starting November 9, customers can place a take-out order at a kiosk located in the Bistro. This will be in addition to the “take out” items currently available at the Bistro, including the IKEA hot dog, veggie dog, frozen yogurt and the new vegan strawberry frozen treat.

“We know that many of our customers look forward to an affordable family meal at IKEA restaurant when they visit our stores. We want to be there for our customers, whether they prefer to dine in or take out, ”said Danielle Beauchesne, head of IKEA Food for IKEA Canada, in a press release.

“Our new restaurant take-out option gives Canadians an easy way to enjoy their favorite IKEA dishes, the way they want,” she continued.

Additionally, as part of the new restaurant take-out options, IKEA is introducing new family meals, a Swedish family meal of meatballs and a Swedish family meal of vegetable balls, each featuring 24 meatballs (or meatballs). vegetables), as well as two sides, sauces and a family-run DAIM chocolate cake.
