No Mafia – Braised duck pappardelle

To be honest, all of No Mafia’s pastas should be on the list, but there’s something special about their Braised Duck and Mushroom Pappardelle. Could it be the seasoning or the duck that melts in your mouth? Either way, you can easily whip up a bowl of this pasta as it’s not too rich and is always cooked to perfection.

When Mary Street Bakery opened, social media was flooded with images of their Buttermilk Fried Chicken Pancakes. It was iconic then and it still is today. The decadent dish is salty, sweet, crunchy and downright delicious. There are peanuts, maple chili, chicken, fluffy pancakes and a fried egg. This dish covers the entire food pyramid.

Lulu La Delizia – Tiramisu

Love it or hate it, tiramisu is a classic Italian dessert and the one made at Lulu La Delizia is cult. Owner Joel Valvasori has perfected the sweet dessert, which is the ultimate balance of coffee flavor, creamy mascarpone and cake. Just be sure to leave plenty of room to try this dish after feasting on Joel’s amazing pasta.

If you make tasty pizzas, but haven’t tried their crab crespelle, you need to get back to the restaurant ASAP. It’s the combination of light crespelle with blue swimmer crab, brown butter and horseradish cream that makes this dish so creamy and light. You will come back for more.

Petition – Broccoli and Mixed Grain Salad

This is a salad you want to befriend. It’s meant to be a side dish, but we recommend enjoying this chopped salad all to yourself. Petition created the ultimate
mix of cereals and almonds for a perfect crunch, then Cambray sheep’s feta cheese was added to balance the dish. Don’t be fooled into thinking you can recreate this salad at home, we tried and you can’t.

This pizza choice can be a bit controversial because not only does it contain pineapple, but also maple syrup. Pizza Al de Monsterella caters to both sweet and savory taste buds with
ham, maple syrup, spanish onion and mozzarella. In case a pineapple pizza splits readers, we’ll also list their Truffled Pappardelle Carbonara as a very close second choice.

You can’t go wrong with a dish that includes Good Fortune’s roast duck. From fried shredded duck to whole roast duck, Good Fortune Duck House can’t go wrong. The skin is always perfectly crispy and the meat is soft and not too oily – a little fat is part of the experience.

You will need a few friends to try this dish. The goat shoulder in centenary broth and peperonata stacked at the Bivouac is a must. The meat is so tender and delicious that you will have

Yes, we loved their Pad Thai, but their corn fritters are iconic. They might be small, but they pack a punch with a green sauce that has a serious chilli bite. These street food bites are crisp on the outside and chewy on the inside and sit in a flavorful cilantro syrup.
